Support Our Priorities

Philanthropic support makes a critical difference in advancing our mission

There are many ways you can make an impact in the life of the School and advance our mission to be a global leader in dental medicine, clinical education, and research.

Your gift can help fund the next generation of scholars, support talented faculty, help us find cures for oral disease, or advance our understanding of the biologic connections between oral and systematic health.

Please see the areas of impact below, where your gift can make a critical difference at HSDM.

Sustaining the next generation of scholars

$250,000 DMD or AGE Scholarship Fund

Create a new named fund to make it possible for a student to pursue their dream of a dental education or specialty program. Your gift will ensure HSDM can attract the best and brightest students regardless of financial need. Create a new named fund, or contribute at any level to an existing fund to increase its impact.

$100,000 Endowed Student Travel Fund

Establish an endowed student travel fund with a minimum gift of $100,000. Students will be awarded travel funds to enhance their education, foster global leaders in oral health, and support research opportunities in their specialty by presenting at national and international conferences.

Fostering clinical innovation

$100,000 Endowed Fund for Clinical Research

Support translational research that will take the latest therapies in dental medicine from the laboratory into the dental practice.

$100,000 Endowed Fund for Faculty Mentorship

Help build a program that will support and encourage mentorship opportunities that will allow early career academic dentists and scientists pursue clinical research and teaching paths with guidance from a faculty mentor.

Recruiting and retaining top faculty

$2,000,000 Named Associate/Assistant Professorship

Help attract and retain talented junior faculty who will become the next innovators and educators. This fund will support startup packages to create a critical pipeline for the most promising early career dentists taking the next step in their career in academia. It ensures that HSDM can attract diverse talent in a competitive environment.

$5,000,000 Named Professorship

Honor HSDM’s legacy of producing the best dental educators in the field. Help us secure outstanding faculty and expand our academic programming. Opportunities are available to establish named professorships in Endodontics, Geriatrics, Implantology, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, and Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity. This funding will give Dean Giannobile the most flexibility to attract international scholars who are widely recognized for their expertise.

Supporting a diverse and vibrant community

$100,000 Endowed Fund for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Recruitment

Enhance pipeline programing to help HSDM attract diverse students, faculty, and staff. This fund will allow HSDM to expand current efforts by providing funds for increased community outreach and programming to reach applicants underrepresented in dental medicine.

$100,000 Endowed Fund for Employee Recognition

Help us recognize and retain HSDM’s most dedicated and high performing staff and faculty who are the backbone of the HSDM community. This fund will support the creation of a robust rewards and recognition program to celebrate the most inspiring members of our community.
